2004 BMW X5 3.0d Sport

When BMW decided to enter the 4×4 market its intentions were not to emulate but to stimulate. With direct access to Land Rover technology (having just purchased the Rover Group) BMW set out to create the SAV - Sports Activity Vehicle. In other words a vehicle that certainly looked like a 4×4 but had a lot more of the driving characteristics associated with sports saloons, i.e. the BMW 5-series. Chris Bangle opened his crayon box and sketched out his interpretation of an SAV and voila the X5 was born in 1999. The original design still looks fresh and purposeful nearly ten years later and the X5 has rightly established itself as one of the most desired 4×4’s in the market today. 2002 BMW 530i Sport ‘Individual’

There’s something about the E39 5-series shape that defies the ageing process and even today still seems as fresh as when it was first launched in the mid-90’s. Sublime Supercar Slayer…

A Very welcome addition to the fleet, the New BMW E60 M5.

This car has to be every Ferrari owners worst nightmare. You can imagine it now, the ‘Barbie and Ken’ couple in the Rosso Red F360 Spider, the lift of the sunglasses, that glance over the shoulder at the traffic lights…The recognition of those M5 side vents…That ‘oh no’ feeling kicks in…’I could be made to look seriously silly right now’. A competitor that really is a genuine wolf in sheeps clothing. A civilised understated executive hack, capable of over 205 Miles Per Hour and has recored figures as low as 4.1 seconds during its 0-60 mph sprints (Road & Track magazine ‘06). With figures like these, things could indeed look bleak for Mr Ken.

BMW 750iL Very ‘Individual’

………….”This is an amazing car. I’d hoped the admiring glances I received when driving were for me, but alas, no they were indeed for the car, and rightly so. The E38 has considerable road presence, even today, some six and half years after production ended.  

This particular car was owned by BMW for the first six months. During its time with them the car bore the registration number 750IL. A perfect complement for such a fine vehicle. This is an ‘Individual’ model which makes it not only very rare but also just a little more special.

Two Black Beauties……

Ahh…the E39 BMW M5. One of those cars that stirs the soul and easily contends for the title ‘Best Sports Saloon Ever Made’. Now we don’t often come across these last-of-the-old-shape M5’s so to have two on offer in the same colour at the same time was worthy of a family photo. Not both the same spec mind you but both with good histories and nice mileages in the sort of condition that inspires confidence regarding the previous owners’ attention to care and maintenance.
